Short Biography

Dhwani graduated with a Bachelor of Biotechnology (Hons Class I) from the University of Queensland in 2011. Her research involved studying the population diversity of Leptosphaeria maculans and carrying out preliminary validation for future larger scale population analysis. She is currently studying a PhD under the supervision of Dr. Jacqueline Batley.

Current Research

She is interested in understanding more about the host-pathogen interaction between Brassica species and Leptosphaeria maculans. She aims to develop resources that will aid in better understanding of the L. maculans genome, its population diversity and interaction with the environment.

Achievement Highlights

Awarded a UQ Student Exchange Scholarship in 2009
Graduated with first class Honours and awarded a Dean's commendation
